Memorize: Psalms 77:19
Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
Read: Isaiah 55:6-13
There is a popular adage in Africa that only a thief knows how to trace the footprints of another on the rock. It is merely that it is difficult to trace footprints on a rock. In the same vein, it is difficult to want to decipher the ways of our God outside what He has provided in His word. Some, because it is written that heaven is above, have searched the entire hemisphere available unto them searching to trace God. It is only if you can find the foot prints of a man on water that you are able to locate God in that manner. God’s ways are not our ways. The difference between His ways and ours is horrendously wide.
However, God’s footprints can be found in His word. Once it is written, it is settled. You cannot know God beyond the things He makes available. Through His word, He has promised that His sayings will not go unfulfilled. Meaning that, God is not a liar and therefore can be taken by His word. Don’t let the enemy deceive you regarding the existence of God. If you will seek Him by His word, you will surely find Him. His word directed Abram to a land he never knew existed. His word made Moses part the Red Sea. The same word made Peter catch a draught of fish after a fruitless all night effort. His word healed the sick and brought Lazarus out of the tomb. If you too will rely on His word rather than run after magic in the name of seeking miracles, you will see Him come through for you.
There is a user of this Guide, the enemy has been booting you up and down telling you that you can get the power you seek in certain places. The Lord is saying to you now that you should desist from following the voice of the enemy and rather hinge your hope on the word of God. Nothing good is coming out of the places you are being taken to and you can testify to that even now already.
God’s ways are not our ways. Follow God’s paths through His word and you will not regret. You can enter into a new joy right now. Take the opportunity.
Pray: Father, I thank you for your word that is lamp to my feet and light to my path. This very day, do please shed the light of your word on my situation so that I may know the way to go and not fail you in Jesus name.
