Focus: Psalms 119:2 – KJV

2. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

2 Chronicles 15:1-7

Our God is full of lovingkindness towards us and will always prefer that we remember the things He did for us in times past so that it may not be lost on us when fresh issues happen to us. The tendency is for man to forget the deeds of God when facing challenges and to assume God is not on his side. If, however he can recollect the testimonies of God’s past rescues in his life, his faith will be boosted to wait on God and seek Him, wholeheartedly. Imagine poor Joshua: after the demise of Moses, he had nothing to hold on to but promises from God that He would be with him just like He was with Moses. On those words, he confronted the Jordan. True to the promise, the one who parted the Red Sea for Moses, parted the Jordan for him. By this time, his confidence in God had increased and he faced Jericho. As he followed God’s instruction, the wall of Jericho fell before his eyes. He leaned on the testimonies of what he saw God do for Moses and also himself, to confront the battle of Canaan. So, confidently, he faced Ai.

From our narrative, we will discover that Joshua was so blessed because of the testimonies he had of God’s deeds and his confidence in God remained strong, which caused him to continue to seek God with all his heart. If we also must take the full benefit of the blessedness in God, we need to shore up our faith by remembering the things the Lord had done in the past and thereby seek Him with our whole hearts, even in whatever situation we may find ourselves per time. Our confidence should be based on the simple truth that, with God, nothing shall be impossible. Therefore, that which appears insurmountable today is a lie of the devil aimed at stealing our joy which is very imminent. Remember that when Israel forgot their testimonies in the wilderness, they suddenly became afraid of men who were less as powerful as the Egyptians whom they conquered. Yes, they were giants, but Egypt was the super power of the time. That faint-heartedness brought about a downturn in their testimony, unfortunately.

Let it therefore be known to you, that from this moment, that stubborn problem that has made you to bow your head as if in shame, shall give way to the God of joy and rejoicing, in Jesus’ name. A mighty wind will blow and take away all the things with which the enemy is affecting you, in the name of Jesus Christ. No matter the extent of the flood, as you recall today the things the Lord had seen you through in the past and bring up your faith in Him, the Lord will arise for you as Mighty Warrior to put your enemy to shame, in Jesus’ name. This very day, heavens will open unto you to pour you a blessing that you never imagined in Jesus’ name.

SOLUTION: Have confidence in God. Where your confidence appears to be failing, recall His past deeds and put total trust in Him. He will never let you down. Never let any fear rob you of your blessings. Fear not.

Please pray: Father, thank you for being my support at all times even in trouble. Please keep me afloat by your power, in Jesus’ name. Put the enemy to shame in my life and affairs in Jesus’ name.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
