17. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 16:13-19
The word of God is precious and profiting but many bear it without understanding the underlying purpose for which it is spoken or written. Wherever the word is found, as God is not interested in wasteful adventure, it carries purpose and therefore it is worthy to seek spiritual gleaning of the purpose so as to properly operate in it. The whole of the Torah was purposed to prepare the minds of men for the coming of the Messiah, the Christ. It even suggested that when He came, He would not be recognized. But, unlike every other observer of the person of Jesus, Peter had clear discernment of Him being the Christ. That was uncommon.
Those who have spiritual discernment are opportune to hear inaudible conversations in the realm and see the invincible. When a man gets to that level, he receives the keys to unlock and unravel mysteries. When Peter revealed the person of the Christ as Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus Himself knew that he did not get such revelation from reading the scripture, he being illiterate, but that the Lord God revealed it to him. Everyone that discerns correctly receives from the Lord, and the Lord bestows on them great benefit to say things and see them happen. Joseph’s interpretation of the dreams of the butler, baker and the king himself, telling them what would be and having them happen as said was not a coincidence. It was as a result of the endowment of heaven for discerning correctly, just like Christ bestowed on Peter.
There is a voice from heaven calling unto us for our attention to the Spirit. As many as will be attentive will discern the purpose of God for many things in their generation and in turn, the Lord will give to them keys of the kingdom that opens and none is able to lock back or lock and none is able to open. As many as would like to put an end to ills in their lives and those of others are invited today to meditate on every word they get from God and lean on what the Holy Spirit reveals for societal impact. Soon, all knees would bow at your command, in the name of Jesus.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for giving me the grace to see the end of the first quarter of the year. As I continue in the year, please continue with me by your Spirit that in every bit of the way I may have understanding of your purpose and submit myself for your use in it, in Jesus’ name. Even before this very day will be over, let me begin to bind on earth that it be bound in heaven and lose on earth that it may be loosened in heaven in Jesus’ mighty name. Let the new month and next quarter be to me a season of joy in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
