7. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

It is possible to pray and yet nothing happens to give an assurance of a desired response regarding the request. Some will feel rather bad and crossed with God when they pray and it appears the answer does not come. There is an assurance we have from God that when we pray, He hears us and answers us according to His own will, and not based on our requests. Many petitions are made amiss wanting to consume it on our own lusts, which of course is outside of God’s will. Those whom God loves He sends angels to succor them in their travails when their lustful requests are turned down. No matter what, when we pray as children of God, He hears us and is always available to answer but according to His own will.
While Christ was amongst us as a man, He Himself knew the will of the father that He was sent to become the son of man so as to die for the sin of man and reconcile them unto the father. That was the primary task He had from heaven. The other would be to teach us and show us the truth about the person of God away from the distortions that had been released to us in all the races. Yet, it became His lust to have the cup removed from Him and He asked the father to do so. Despite the fusion between Him and the father, the latter would not and did not accede to His request just so that the father’s will may be done. And, when He succumbed to that will, He was not left comfortless, as angels were sent to minister to Him.
There is a user of this devotional who assumes that God has abandoned him because of a particular request which the Lord has not granted. God is ministering to the same today saying that He did hear him but would rather do something else for him that agrees with the will of God, rather than the desired petition. It does not make God wicked, rather it confirms that He is the truth in whom there is neither variableness nor shadow of turning. No matter how difficult the situation may seem, because He heard the prayers, He will send comfort in His own way to the concerned person and there will be victory in the end.
Please pray:
Thank you, father for always answering my prayers. The prayers that appear unanswered, I reckon I may have asked amiss. Please send me your best version as answer to the requests that your name alone may be glorified, in Jesus’ name. Let all my outstanding requests find answers and performance to suit your will even now, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Like Christ, let your will for my life bring me greater promotion and glorify your name in Jesus’ name. I pray this day that your Holy Spirit will guide me henceforth in prayer that I may only ask what meets with your will, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
