Focus: Matthew 24:14 - KJV
14. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Colossians 1:6-23
As God is the righteous Judge, He would judge the world based on the same criterium. Hence, everyone that lives after the coming of the Messiah ought to and would be judged based on the same exposition brought by Christ. This, as against those who lived in the days of ignorance. Therefore, for God to remain righteous in judgment, the whole world must be exposed to the basis of judgment. However, except the people all over the world hears the truth that sets free, they are likely to continue to operate in wickedness, not knowing what the Lord has already done for them.
The initial disciples of Christ took the great commission more seriously the essence of which was to, with urgency, take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Unfortunately, after many received Christ, rather than join the tussle and keep the fire burning, they slowed down and kept that which they gained to themselves. The effect has been an affirmation of the words of Christ that the harvest is plenteous but the laborers are few. And, unless we get the word to the uttermost parts of the earth, how do we expect the desired end, where we inherit the new heaven and the new earth, to come?
The Lord needs us to intensify the work of evangelism and get many more into the Kingdom by the help of the Holy Spirit. Unless we extend to others that which we have received of the Lord regarding the good news, we delay the coming of the end. Statistically, it is said that there are more non-Christians in the world than there are Christians. Yet God is coming with judgment, based on the truth. Let us therefore, stop disregarding the will of our God. Let us start preaching to the unsaved, now.
Please pray:
Father, we thank you for counting us worthy of you. Please forgive us of our lapses regarding the preaching of the Kingdom to all and sundry. Help us by your Spirit to quicken our mortal bodies to do more in this regard and be more pleasing to you, in Jesus’ name. Please do not let anyone of us fall off in the end when you come for your elect, in Jesus’ name.
