Focus: 1 Corinthians 7:29-31 - KJV
29. But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; 30. And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; 31. And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
Romans 13:11-14
Recently, the Russian army attacked Ukraine on the basis of the fact that it was compromising Russian security by going into ties with NATO, an organization that Russia believes is anti-Russian in policies and development. Prior to the attack, life was sweet and lovely in Ukraine: the country had foreigners living in it aside her own citizens, and enjoyed a robust economy. Alas, when the guns and the tanks started to roar, all the known beauty of life suddenly got replaced with fear, evacuation and death. Only those who are militarily inclined as well as volunteers are left to dwell in uncanny circumstances, without the regular pleasure they had been used to. This situation came suddenly and caught most people unawares, and now, many home owners are refugees in foreign lands.
The situation the world is in at the moment can be described as the zero hour to the sound of the trump. When the trump does sound, and it soon will, there will be no reversing the situation. Those who are not ready will be so devastated that they will wish they were not born. They will seek mercy and discover the door is already shut. To forestall such damning circumstance, the Lord is issuing a warning to us all to, at the moment that we are still able to reason and retrace our steps, put aside all things about pleasure and seek the Lord in repentance. Let they that know guide others who do not know, in the way of the Lord so that many can be rescued from the devastation per time. A refusal to heed the warning is a risk to be caught unawares and separated from pleasure forever.
Beloved, the world we live in is already old and about to pass away. The place of the reasonable person is to hearken to the voice of God. When the chips are down, like it happened in Ukraine, husbands would desert their wives, parents their children and everyone will be left to cater for himself. Take a thought now to do all you can to keep your kin in sync with the Lord and His word, so that when the time of separation shall come, we will all see ourselves on the other side with Jesus our Lord.
SOLUTION: Heaven and earth will pass away but the word of God will never go unfulfilled. The way to go is to start getting ready by ensuring we jettison, now, every worldly baggage that we may travel light with Christ. Avoid iniquity like a plague.
Please pray: Father, when you come to collect your people from this failing world, do please remember me and do not leave me behind, in Jesus’ name. Whatever must be done to ensure all my loved ones are not left behind also, please do for your name’s sake in Jesus’ name.
