Focus: Psalms 50:5 - KJV
5. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
Psalms 50: 1-6
It is believed among Bible scholars that the Bible is about the Lord Jesus Christ. That may not be faulted since from the beginning to the end, there is either a mention or reference to Him. However, it will appear the concern of the Bible is about the Lord’s enterprise, which is the earth and the unfortunate loss of control over it to the enemy by the caretaker thereof. This in itself was the basis for the revelation of Jesus Christ for if the man (caretaker) did not mess things up, there would not have been a basis for redemption. So, one day soon, the one whose enterprise has been so mismanaged will come for His belonging to take it away from the enemy and his wicked allies. On that day, the earth will be rocked with fire for it to be consumed and another brought in its stead. However, the God of love and covenant keeper, would first gather unto Himself His saints, dead and alive, in an episode Christians call the rapture.
So, who are the saints that the Lord would so gather and how will it be? In the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, God found only Lot and his household faithful covenant keepers and rescued them from fire and brimstone. In the days of Noah, God found only his household worthy of salvation and saved them alongside animals in an ark before the earth was ravaged with flood. The saints are not necessarily those who claim they are but those who are grateful to their God, who are not found to be incessant grumblers and doers of wickedness, but keep the covenant of God, which is love. Hence, like the days of Noah, God will cause them to be gathered and give them celestial bodies that they may be where He is. In the days of Noah, there was an ark that floated over the flood; at the gathering of the saints, the Lord would come with a spiritual ark that would float in the air to receive the saints in one place with their Lord and remain in the air, first, for the marriage supper of the Lamb, away from the turmoil that would be happening on earth.
Beloved, are you saintly enough to be part of this gathering that is being described? Look not too far away, the time is nigh now, as all the signs are showing already. Can the Lord ask for the gathering now without you being left out? Do you show enough gratitude to God for all the things He has been doing for you and do you stay in the covenant of love? Speaking of love, do you, as a person feed the Lord or give Him to drink and shelter Him as you do it to your neighbor in need? Or do you give in support of the Gospel so that, like you were saved by the preaching of the word, others can be reached also for salvation through your giving? Or, are you just living life as if nothing matters, thereby living in pleasure and lust with reckless abandon? Ah! Look around you! The judge of the earth is about to recompense every misdeed of those who fail to properly occupy on His behalf. This time, He will not leave room for corruption again. Hence, everything that has a link to corruption shall go with the fire.
SOLUTION: Whatever will not let you form part of the gathering of saints, when the Lord makes the call, should go now. Be focused on love and gratitude to God, always.
Please pray: Father, thank you for this new day and the opportunity to still form part of your saints. Please help me to fulfil the criteria for being a saint indeed in Jesus’ name. Whatever will not let me mature into the stature of being a saint upon your return, please take it away from my path, in Jesus’ name. When the saints go marching in, O Lord, please keep me in the number, in Jesus’ name.
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
