The great God, our strength

Text: Psalms 135:5

For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

Bible Reading:

Psalms 53:1-6

Message:

Those who do know their God shall be strong and do exploits is the Word and promise of God. Unfortunately, those who fail to acknowledge God in their minds are reckoned as fools. They rather put themselves under the rulership of demons who constantly lead them to suffering and defeat far away from the preparation of God for their lives. The same is true for those who though have come to the knowledge of God but allow themselves to stray away from the presence of their lover therefore exposing themselves to the vagaries of life and suffer unnecessary consequences. Remember the story of the prodigal son: his father did not push him out; he preferred to be separate from his father not knowing that his well-being was guaranteed only because he dwelled in the bosom of the father. Not knowing that outside are the dogs, he stepped away from the father, and started to become a waste in a gradual manner. Anyone that looks back is like Lot’s wife. Anyone that steps out is like one of the five foolish virgins. Once the door is short there is no remedy. Be like the returnee prodigal son today and come into the embrace of your father while there is still the chance. Your father is particularly keen on your return and will herald celebration in heaven. There is no other God but Him. Your salvation from all the mess you find yourself in is with Him. Run to Him before it is too late.

Prayer Guide:

Father, I come to you as I am today. I confess that I have not been living up to your expectation; please forgive me. Help me from today to live right and even now please deal with the issues confronting me in Jesus name.
