Focus: Hebrews 11:16 - KJV
16. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
Hebrews 11:8-16
Something about faith commends it to everyone who has the heart to reason. Prior to the coming of Christ which heralded the influx into the Kingdom of God, everyone that lived with a godly fear wanted to witness the time of the Christ but were not opportune to witness it. There was a man named Simeon who received a promise from God that he would not die before seeing the Christ. When he saw the infant Christ, he was grateful to God that at least his eyes had seen the Christ and prayed that he may depart the earth at the time. Those who did not witness it had faith that the promise of God would be which is that there would be a new heavenly country where the just would live with their God. Now, if those that lived at the time without witnessing the advent of Christ had confidence that the heavenly country was going to be, how much more those of us that have had the opportunity to experience Christ and even now the Holy Ghost of promise? There is indeed a new heaven that is going to be revealed. And really soon, that country will manifest where the Lord will be the light, where the streets are made of gold and where there will no longer be pain or death. Where there will be bliss unending. That heavenly country is for those who love God and live by faith. To show we live by faith, we must trust the Lord for those little promises and not doubt Him for any reason.
To secure your citizenship of the heavenly country, you must have faith in God without flinching. It is that the just shall live by faith. Unless you exhibit true faith, you cannot prove your citizenship of the heavenly country being a pilgrim on earth. No matter the things we enjoy here on earth, they are incompatible to the things available in the new heaven. Will you be found there? In the new country, God is not ashamed to be called their God as they will exhibit the personality of God through and through. Those who are not cultured to be so in the present earth can hardly make it for God cannot be glad to be called the God of the unrighteous.
SOLUTION: The day of the Lord is at hand. Those not found in faith shall not gain citizenship of the new heaven. Have faith in God. Obey His commands. Never doubt His position in any matter. Let your being reflect His image which is primarily Spirit and Love.
Father, the pain in this side of humanity is much: we look to you with full expectation and assurance about the new heaven of promise, please make us full citizens thereof in Jesus’ name. Lord, no matter what it takes, please keep us safe in you to the very end in Jesus’ name. Let your name be glorified in us to the end in Jesus’ name.
