Focus: Colossians 1:5 - KJV
5. For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
1 Peter 1:3-9
To people who do not care to understand the mind or will of God, it is necessary to use this current world in maximum pleasure which accounts for their reckless approach to life and living. Whereas, for those who do know their God, life on earth is purely temporal as there will be a resurrection morning, when all those who died on earth after spending time there, would be lifted up from the dead: some to eternal life and others to eternal damnation. It is this blessed promise that brings great hope to the believer that, even though he had spent time on earth, he has a renewed hope of rising unto life with Christ in the end, even though he falls asleep after his time on earth.
The great hope of resurrection unto life is preserved for those who are faithful to their Lord in obeying all His commands and bearing fruit of the Spirit that makes them sons of God in the similitude of Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the father. It is funny that if we judge from the human prism, there are many today that name the name of the Lord but have refused to depart from iniquity. Their refusal to so depart endangers their ability to realize the great hope that is promised the elect, since Christ has said He would denounce many that are workers of iniquity, when the chips are down.
Today therefore, the Lord is beckoning on us all to depart from iniquity and opt for crass obedience of the commands of the Lord so as to guarantee our realization of the heavenly hope that the father promised those who fear Him. In the days of Christ, He spoke tersely against hypocrisy and condemned such acts. It is therefore a condemnable act to profess Christ, suggesting that we have the heavenly hope and be found in acts inimical to the commands of the Lord. Let us be clear and separate from all works of iniquity, so as to inherit the heavenly hope in the end. That there will be no resurrection after death, is a lie of the enemy aimed at railroading many into eternity in hell.
SOLUTION: Heaven is real and hell is real also. The Lord Himself spoke about these places and cannot lie. If it be so, then it is foolhardy for anyone to live on earth as if there is no hell. It is better to live with the hope of making heaven so that we may not end up in hell.
Please pray:
· Give God praise for the hope of reuniting with Him in the end
· Ask that God should please in His mercy prepare you for the heavenly hope by making His Spirit to lead you through and through
· Pray that the Lord will allow His mercy prevail by the blood of Jesus so that many more will be admitted to the heavenly hope
· Pray that whatever may debar you from the heavenly hope, the Lord will expunge the same from your path today
· Please ask for your daily bread today
