Focus: Psalms 89:15-18 - KJV
15. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. 16. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted. 17. For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. 18. For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Praising God is a phenomenon that angels are occupied with in the presence of the throne of God. They sing the Hallelujah chorus unendingly before God. The function of praise is to bring to bear the presence of God. Such presence carries the light of God’s countenance and wherever the light is found darkness has no place. Also, the Kingdom of God is characterized by righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Hence, the praises of angels in heaven are simply a joyful sound. It follows that those who also sing praises to God on earth receives the benefit of the light of the countenance which dispels every evil convergence against them. It has the effect of catapulting them into the presence of the Most-High where there is joy unending. But for the sound to be joyful, it must conform with the requirements of heaven. It must be vertical in nature. This means it must be directed at God and not self-praise or such other songs that hail man as if it’s for God. When praise is not vertical in nature, God does not come in it and the effect a joyful sound brings is missing. What you find in such other songs is lust, misbehavior and all. If we want all things to work in the manner it should, we ought do it to arouse God and not ourselves.
Dear friend, a joyful sound from you to heaven will bring about great solution to present situations if we can do it correctly. Let us learn to praise God appropriately and we will have reasons to glorify God the more in the end. Let no heaviness rob us of the joy in praising God. Put every weight aside and give praises to God no matter the situation. Let the joy of the Lord bring you strength. You obtain the strength more in making the joyful sound to heaven.
SOLUTION: Make occasion regularly to give praises unto God at every opportunity. Bombard heaven with praises. Let God identify your voice always among that of the heavenly angels. He sure will reciprocate with His presence.
Our Father and our God, thank you for the avenue to praise and worship you so as to carry your presence. As we praise you from hence, please let your presence be with us on a permanent basis in Jesus’ name. Please Lord, disperse every sign of darkness from our lives and surroundings by the reason of your presence in Jesus’ name. Let this bring us the fortitude to make joyful sounds the more in Jesus’ name.
