Matthew 10:16-22
Man, born of a woman is said to be of a few years and the same full of troubles. Troubles in that he is born into a regime occupied by the devil and his cohorts who have made darkness to overcome the earth and gross darkness the people. But since the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force. How? Prior to John the Baptist, the kingdom of darkness laid sway over the earth unchallenged. But the moment John came as the forerunner of the Purveyor of the Kingdom, the enemy knew his game was up and that power was about to be transferred from him back to man. He however did not know how and therefore unleashed every arsenal he has, to ensure man fails to come to the knowledge of the truth. For, as long as man believes his lies, man remains in servitude to him.
Even though he was defeated by the death of Christ on the tree, the enemy refuses to let go. He keeps deceiving every man that he can so that there is division among men and therefore he keeps being relevant in the affairs of man. But those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. They are those who have imbibed the truth and move in every way against darkness and all the issues thereof. They are confronted with lies but refuse to believe it. They are buffeted with tribulations even from unexpected quarters and refuse to yield to the devices of the enemy. They are pushed to the point of almost letting go of the Kingdom but they are resolute in that for them to live is Christ and to die is gain. Therefore, even if it meant they must die for the course of the Kingdom, they are never going to deny the Christ. These are the violent that take the Kingdom by force.
Are you also undergoing some pain for the sake of Christ and His Kingdom? Is the enemy hauling against you all manner of wickedness to tire you out of your conviction? Do be of good cheer. Stand firm in your resolve. Christ Himself is about to come through for you and you will be beautifully decorated for all eyes to see. Your name in the book of Life will be written in indelible ink. You will not be blotted out. But please endure the hardship while it lasts. It is for a short time compared to the bliss in eternity that awaits you.
Pray: Father, please hold me up that I may endure to the very end in Jesus name.
