20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Bible Reading:
Acts 16:16-18
Message:
Everyone made by God carries inside of him some power element because of the initial blessing at creation. But since a man is a servant to whom he obeys, the power in one is dependent on who he serves. The world recognizes the power of positive thinking which in the kingdom of God is called faith. The just shall live by faith. Faith has fear as its opposite. When a man is born again, he is born of God and therefore ought to exhibit faith for without it he cannot please God. It is by faith therefore that one can call something forth and it manifests since the pronouncement is backed by God. On the flip side, if the power that works in one is of fear, it is the fear that manifests in the pronouncement and not the thing pronounced. For instance, it is by faith that Paul called out the evil spirit in the damsel in our Reading today that the same yielded. It happened to him according to the power that worked in him. Many however have out of fear like Job, encountered what they feared for that is the power that worked in them. What power works within you? God can do for you what you pray for or think about and beyond it only in the proportion of the power that works in you. If your faith is that you will win the whole world for Christ within a year, the One with whom all things are possible will bring it to bear. So, whatever it is that you purpose, let the power in you work faith and you will see the miraculous. It was the power of faith in Moses that parted the Red Sea. There was no precedent. You too can experience unprecedented miracle. You have only been limited hitherto by the power that works in you. Shore up your faith in God.
Prayer:
Father, I have faith in you. Let the power of your faith bring out great wonders from my life from now on in Jesus name.
