The Power Of God’s Presence

Focus:  1 Samuel 18:28 KJV: “And Saul saw and knew that the Lord was with David, and that Michal Saul's daughter loved him.”

By reason of God’s presence in the life of the believer, he becomes protected from enemy attacks. It is not that the enemy will not make an attempt, but the presence of God insulates the believer from the effect of such attack. Those who get affected are those who, in the course of their relationship with God, stepped out of His presence. In His presence, there is fullness of joy and at His right hand, pleasures evermore.

David assumed he would be trapped or killed by King Saul's extreme marriage demand of 100 Philistine foreskins. Instead, beyond expectation, God gave him a double victory of 200 spoils, forcing his fiercest enemy to publicly realize that the Lord was overwhelmingly protecting him. Isaac thought the famine in the land of Gerar was too huge for his survival. When he realized he operated in God’s presence, he prospered in famine. The widow of one of the sons of the prophets thought it was the end for her family judging from the weight of debt her late husband left for the family. When God stepped into her situation, she became an oil merchant who needed not be in debt ever again.

The missing link between someone’s sad state of affairs and the breakthrough the same requires, is God’s presence. Today, the Lord is beckoning on all that labor and are heavy ladened to come unto Him. If we make effort to come to God, He brings His presence to bear upon our lives and situation. And like the wax melts before the fire, situations and circumstances give way where God is present. Let us therefore, take the bold step towards God today and thereby draw His presence unto ourselves.

Prayer:

Thank you, Lord for the beauty of holiness which I enjoy in your presence. Let your presence never depart from me throughout my life on this side of eternity. Every attempt by the enemy to mess with my life in anyway, please thwart with your presence. Let my life experience the fullness of your joy and pleasures ever more, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please share. God bless you.
