The righteous and the sinner mirrored

Text: Psalms 92:12 - 14

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

Bible Reading:

Psalms 1:1-5

Message:

Flourishing is a state of exceeding splendor. Every reasonable person loves to flourish but it is not available to all. It is a state of life preserved for the righteous. The righteous is he who refuses to be ungodly, or a sinner and abstains from scorn but dwells on God and His instructions. On the flip side, anyone in whom any of these vices is found is simply unrighteous, a sinner and tagged wicked. For each side of the divide there are consequences or rewards if you like. Whereas the righteous is to flourish, the wicked is to have his ways dark and slippery. But who determines who is righteous? God sees our hearts principally and accords the reward; every individual knows him or herself and there is no deceiving one’s self; and of course, by the fruit borne by each we know them. The whole of humanity is observing you. It is possible to appear like you are prospering therefore feigning righteousness unto man. Only you know the pain of wickedness you bear even if all else do not know. Also, that which you are experiencing is not flourishing but definitely, a fluke from the pit of hell. Although the blessing of the Lord lasts and adds no sorrow, the apparent affluence of the wicked is always short-lived. The righteous enjoys all round wellness - spiritually, physically, mentally, materially - but for the wicked, there is always a noticeable flaw. On what side of the pendulum do you fall? Are you considered righteous or wicked by the Most High? There is no strict unchangeable compartmentalization. You can change your status today from wickedness to righteousness. Just renew your mind and refuse to be wicked henceforth and you shall surely flourish. Shalom!

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, let your righteousness be manifest in me for all to see that I may flourish in all ramifications and that your name may be glorified in me in Jesus name.
