22. For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
James 4:11-12
There are so much untoward occurrences amongst men where some people ascribe to themselves the role of being judges over others. Point is, those who did not give the laws that others should comply with are not able to properly interpret the same laws when they are to hand out judgment thereon. But in the case of our God, He is our King and He is the lawgiver. Hence, when it comes to judgment, He knows what He seeks by the laws He gave us and therefore, even when we err, because He is Love, where He finds repentance, He is able to save and not destroy us. The usurpers of the throne and the judgment seat are not like that. Because they do not have the full purview of the essence of the law, they misbehave in the place of judgment.
There was an impotent man at the pool of Bethesda who had no one to help him and therefore, remained in a solitary position for thirty-eight years. On a faithful sabbath, Jesus encountered him at the pool and offered to help him. That day he became well. Then came the usurpers of the judgment seat who told him it was not lawful to carry his bed on the sabbath. To them, by the law of the sabbath, he must not allow himself to be healed on the sabbath. Meanwhile, the lawgiver himself was the one who saved him and set him free on the sabbath. To the lawgiver, the sabbath was made for men and not men for the sabbath. To the miscarriers of justice, pain must continue on the sabbath regardless of available assistance.
The Lord wants us to realize today that we need not continue to be bugged down by any law particularly as portrayed by people who themselves are not lawful but mere hypocrites. For as long as our God who is our lawgiver, king and judge decides to save us by the spirit and not necessarily the letter of the law, then we are saved. It is possible that you had done something wrongly assuming it was God directing you and you have now heard the true voice of God and want to restitute and men of the world are out to judge you. Please do not take their judgment but that of God.
SOLUTION: Kindly desist from usurping the judgment seat as it belongs to Christ. And if anyone is judging you based on laws they did not give, ignore them and revert to the merciful king, lawgiver and judge who will make kind pronouncement in your matter.
Please pray:
· Give thanks to God for being your king, lawgiver and righteous judge who has not allowed injustice in your matter
· By the Spirit of God, condemn every tongue that has risen against you in judgment that from today they may lose their relevance
· Pray that the Lord will upturn every unrighteous and evil judgment that people have pronounced over you that appear to be having some effect over your life
· Ask God to judge them that judge you with the same measure that they have meted out against you
· Pray for your daily bread for today to come without stress
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
