The Tares Of The Field

ree

Focus: Matthew 13:36 - KJV

36. Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

Matthew 12:24-30

Our God is good all the time and all He does continually is good. However, there is a being on the other side of the spectrum of life who is always poised to sow evil with a view to discrediting the deeds of God. No matter what he does, God holds the one that yields to him responsible for his actions and will not excuse his misdeeds on the excuse that the devil caused it. It is never the intention of God to have any of His creatures destroyed in the end. But then, it is beneficial to Him to have His worthy creatures end up with Him, rather than have them plucked prematurely and wrongly while weeding the evil seeds sown by the enemy with these good creatures.

From the garden of Eden up till date, when the Lord puts together something good for His purpose, the devil is quick to sow evil seeds in the midst. It was first the serpent. Then when it was time to put a sample nation together, he sowed Dathan Korah and Abiram who raised other dissenting voices against Moses. Christ came and there came the teachers of the law. Theirs was to ensure the listeners were confused. And now, the Church from the time of Peter. First, there were those who claimed to believe but were not fully subsumed, like Ananias and his wife. Then, there were those who along the line claimed to belong but were only in for their personal interests.

The Lord is saying that as the tares grow, they are visible to all. But that, He has allowed them to be so that the harvesters/weeders may not, in seeking to uproot the tares, get the good plant that may have had a little interaction with the tares at its root, uprooted. Nonetheless, when the time is fully ripe, there will be a separation and the tares will end up in fire/damnation. Hence, the Lord cautions us to check our beings and be sure we are not in corruption in any way. All those that carry the tares will have themselves to blame in the end as they will be identified with the devil.

Please pray:

Thank you, Lord for sowing in me the best of seeds for your pleasure. Whatever the enemy may have sown or attempted to sow in me while I was not looking, please expunge from the root in the name of Jesus Christ. Please do not let me end up in the fire ever, dear Lord in Jesus’ name. Whatsoever it will take for me to end up a right harvest in your barn, please accomplish, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
