There is Nothing To Fear

Focus: Proverbs 3:25-26 - KJV

25. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. 26. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

1 John 4:18-19

Fear operates as the direct opposite of faith. Whenever we become afraid of a situation or circumstance or even person(s), we exalt such above the power of our God. So, fear is an instrument in the hands of the devil to make man deny the truth about God. Anyone who denies God and His being cannot take any benefit of Him. Hence, fear is projected in a material form to twist the position of the soul from the nature of God which is Spirit and therefore intangible. What the devil puts to use are material things to entrap the soul. That is why he uses the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life, which all point to matter or material things. Meanwhile, God is one who calls things “that are not” (intangibles) as if they are (tangibles) and see them become. By and large, to make the soul cringe really, the enemy projects the fear in a sudden manner so that the mind (soul) loses confidence in the spirit which communes with the Spirit of God to affirm the closeness of God and His ability to pull us through. Sounding technical, eh? But it is what it is. Fear disconnects the soul from the Spirit of God and the reassurance that God is real and true. If we will banish fear from our minds, then are we able to reaffirm the goodness of God and His loving kindness to keep our feet from being taken. Truth is, God loves us and the love is more than that of an earthly father. Hence, He is not ready to leave us in peril. In the end, for those who know it, the source of fear is purely merely a mirage except given authentication by our minds (souls) which is equipped to bring the immaterial to materiality, whether it be fear or faith.

Dear friend, the Lord wants you to believe Him for who He is: the Almighty. Unless we do, fear rules and brings torment. Blessed are they who do not see, yet believe – that is faith. Fear is ‘seen’ and believed even though it is non-existent. Yes, one can relate with a person diagnosed with a deadly disease being afraid. What that fear says is that the disease cannot be dealt with by God. Bad. Why then ascribe might to God if we do not consider Him mighty? It is now the days for the sons of God to manifest. Part of their attributes is unflinching faith away from fear. Christ was never afraid of the storm. We should not be either.

SOLUTION: No matter what is thrown at you, stand your ground in God. Never believe the lie of the devil to fear. Never make God a nobody in your affair. The worst that happens in a grim situation is death. Christ already defeated death for us. If we do die in the body, it is translation to glory in Christ Jesus. Fear can only cause a separation from God for without faith we cannot please God.

Father, we love you. Thank you for first loving us and reconciling us to yourself. Please accept our thanks in Jesus’ name. As we continue our journey here on earth, please give us greater boldness to overcome every atom of fear thrown at us by the enemy in Jesus’ name. Give us the grace to call the enemy’s bluff at all times by standing unflinchingly in you in Jesus’ name. Let our victory over the enemy and his lies be assured at all times in Jesus’ name.
