Focus: Job 23:10-11 - KJV
10. But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. 11. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
Psalms 66:8-12
The body of the believer is the temple of the Spirit of God. And for that reason, the Spirit who cannot dwell in filth, does everything necessary to make the bearer of His vessel holy. Until a man comes to the realization of the harm he does to himself and the Spirit, by grappling with uncleanness, he does not take special care to remain pure. Some even assume their acts have no bearing on their relationship with God anymore since Christ has died. In fact, for all they care, once a person responds to the altar call, whatever he does thereafter is immaterial as he is saved. How so wrong!
By reason of the love of God for the believer, when he appears not to appreciate something well enough, God leaves him to be tried of the enemy so as to shift his focus unto that aspect that the Lord wants him to cover by the help of the Spirit. For instance, a person that God will use to move mountains must be someone with clean hands and a pure heart. If the same bears grudges and become unforgiving, the likelihood is for the Lord to release him to trials until he learns that, like Christ, he must begrudge no man. Job was made to realize that he needed to pray for his friends despite their tormenting him. How can the Holy Spirit dwell in a dumpsite of murders and unforgiving Spirit? Hence, through trials, the vessel of the believer is, at times, purified with fire to become golden.
That situation that appears to us like punishment is not so at all; it is rather God’s way of drawing our attention to some of our impurities so that we may consciously deal with them and make us ready for the assignment He has called us to. The earlier we locate that grey area and release it to purification by the fire of God, the better for us. God is therefore redirecting us unto understanding that it is because He loves us that He has allowed us to be tried that we may come out as gold to properly bear and not grieve His Spirit in our bodies.
Please pray:
Thank you, father for making my body the temple of your Spirit. Please purify me the best you can so that your Spirit may never depart from my body, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Please open my eyes to those areas I still need to work on to become a permanent resting place of your Spirit, in Jesus’ name. And therefore, let every decree and prophesy I make from this day come to instant manifestation as a result of your Spirit in me, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
