Trust God Completely

Focus: Proverbs 3:5 - KJV

5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Psalms 37:3-5

No matter the height of a man, his understanding is little compared to that of God. Hence, a man that must thrive in life have need of God’s wisdom which is only obtained by those who diligently seek God. In other words, because to navigate the earth successfully require more than ordinary human understanding, everyone that must succeed cannot afford to be sloppy in seeking God and His wisdom. When they diligently seek God and repose full confidence in Him, they succeed.

If Moses’ confidence in God who told him to drop his rod and it became a snake, he would not have lifted the rod for the parting of the Red Sea and would have missed an unprecedented miracle. It was confidence in God that spurred Elijah into calling down fire to consume a sacrifice that was covered with water. If either of them had leaned on his own understanding, neither of these things would have happened as they make no sense to ordinary human thinking. For them to have happened, even though they were unprecedented, the actors needed to trust God completely, doing as He told them.

The bane of Christianity today is about professing God with the lips but having the heart far from Him. God is asking that we trust Him to do what He has promised. Many are scared to even lay hands on the sick for them to recover. Until we start being practical about our faith, how do we intend to show the world our God is real and great? God is calling us out today like He called out seven thousand and one but only Elijah stepped up and has a mention in scripture. He is watching to see who dares to step up today.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for making me one of your reserved soldiers at this time. When you need someone to stand up for you, please make me worthy to be counted upon, in Jesus’ name. Embolden us more than the others you reserved in the days of Elijah that we may be bold to confront darkness for the sake of your Kingdom any time the occasion demands, in Jesus’ name. Please give us victory in all battles from today, that the world may see that we truly belong to you, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
