Focus: Luke 21:36 - KJV
36. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:20-36
There is a serious mystic flowing through the air all over the world at this time. More importantly, Israel has been in the spotlight. It is true that the Apostle Paul described how the rapture would take place but it appears there is no one certain about how the events would occur precisely. In our reading of today, the Lord Himself is recorded as talking of the devastation of Jerusalem by different armies. The time is clearly near and we should watch and pray so that we do not get overwhelmed to the extent of not being ready for the return of the Lord. The Lord is super clear about these things and has not hidden it away from those who love Him. Israel had been a theater of wars for some time in human history. However, the description in the book of Luke appears to be the proportion currently in view. Are we out to scare people? Not quite. We are only saying it is better to be safe than to be sorry.
For those who live in climes where the weather changes from winter to summer, the Lord used the same as a parable for us to keep ourselves alert just like we do when the weather is about to change. At the change of season, we put certain things aside and take others in readiness for the new weather. Now is the time to shed sin and all surfeiting and drunkenness. Yes, drunkenness in that some get drunk not necessarily with wine but with the idea of possessions that they forget that when the day of the Lord comes, they may not really have anything to identify as theirs. The signs are all so glaring and clear. Those that are reasonable would halt and reason through prayer so that they may not lose out. Let us not forget that Christ said heaven and earth shall pass away but His words shall not.
Are you still caught in the middle of deciding at this time? Please think about the people that have been devastated by wars and natural catastrophes recently. Some stood by as their loved ones were washed into oblivion either by bomb blast, broken down buildings, sweeping flood, earthquake and all manner of things. Some are homeless now that had the best of homes until recently. Must the devastation come before we make up our minds for God? Look all around and observe: life is no longer as it used to be. Like He said, His coming is like a snare on all them that dwell on the face of the earth. Is that not already glaring through global inflationary trends and calamities everywhere? Please watch and return to the Lord in prayers for they that think they stand are not even sure of anything right now.
SOLUTION: Mercy is what the whole human race needs at this time; for when the Lord shall appear, only He has the list of them that would go. If we therefore, seek His face for mercy through prayers, He may just, because of Himself, show us mercy. Watch and pray.
Please pray: Father, I groan in the pain of prayers unto you as I see that the rapture of the saints is imminent. Please in judgment remember mercy and thereby make me worthy of being counted among, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let me not be swept away by surfeiting of any kind dear Lord in Jesus’ name. Help dad, for it is only by your help and mercy that we can make it.
