Focus: 1 Corinthians 3:12-13 - KJV
12. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13. Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1 Corinthians 4:1-5
Understanding Christ is knowing God. In construction, works must be done to architectural precision to get the real deal. When an architect puts up a drawing and the structures are made with all the dimensions, a foundation is laid based on the prescription in the structural design that meets the architectural prescription. If upon laying the foundation, the builder decides to lay his blocks without following the prescription in the drawings, the building fails to meet the prescription and the client ends up dissatisfied. God intended man to follow His directives and prescriptions. To achieve this, He gave the world, through Abraham, Isaac and Israel, a nation whom He was to raise as a model for others to follow in pleasing God. Unfortunately, some errors were introduced into the form of the nation’s relationship with God and God could no longer prescribe the nation as His example of righteousness. Hence, He sent the Christ to correct the anomalies for a better prescription unto man of how to be of God. And that was why He commanded the preaching to all nations and not just Israel.
Incidentally, many today claim they appreciate the position of Christ but do not in that, they still ascribe the old ways which the Lord came to correct to Christ, thereby putting wrong building blocks on the solid foundation Christ has laid. Someone once said without the Old Testament, there would not be the new. That is true, and the converse too. If the Old was not faulty, what would be the necessity for the new? If there was nothing to correct, why should we not continue with the status quo? The fact remains that there are things in the Old that Christ came to point our attention to that are not representative of God. If, after all He did for our redemption, we claim to know Him but continue to do the things He came to correct, then are we building wood, hay and stubbles which can never stand the test of fire. For every man’s work shall be tested with fire. All the works that burn shall not be rewarded.
Beloved, we make the coming of the Lord a waste of time if we teach nothing better than the Judaists and the Zionists. Their doctrines approve of killings and retaliations which are inimical to Christ’s doctrines, and that of the father, whom they claim to know. As long as we fail to teach love and act in love always, we are not truly regenerated and we make the death and resurrection of Christ a waste of effort. The Lord has taught and shown us the way unto God. That is the only way. Every other way is hay and stubbles. Let us never deviate again from the true doctrine of Christ for which He was hated by the Jews. Let us stop conforming to the doctrines of the Fathers which is full of hypocrisy. Knowing and refusing to uphold the righteous teaching of Christ is a denial of His person; and anyone who denies Him on earth, He would deny before the father, in the end.
SOLUTION: Stop being in denial of Christ. The word of Christ alone is the truth that makes free, not any other. Making it appear there is nothing wrong with the doctrines of the fathers is giving approval to same against the position of Christ. Focus on the truth and put the enemy to shame. The doctrine of the fathers is adulterated and therefore full of errors aimed at portraying God as who He is not. Build correctly from now.
Please pray: Father, thank you for showing us the right channel to your person in Jesus Christ. From this day, help us to stick with Him alone never again to faulter, in Jesus’ name. Please keep us in the right building track that our rewards may not elude us in the end, in Jesus’ name.
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
