6. Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7. To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8. But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
2 Thessalonians 2:12
God is Love and His mercies endure. Nevertheless, He is a righteous judge. He wants no one to perish in the hands of the wicked one and that is why He has released the Gospel and preachers so that through it, every man may be patient in well doing, seeking glory, honor, and immortality. Unfortunately, many refuse to heed the cries and warnings of the preachers as well as the contents of the Gospel. They are rather contentious seeking to rubbish the Gospel and often times, annihilate the preacher. They refuse to obey the truth despite all sermons and sermonizing. They prefer unrighteousness continually. To them the Lord will pour out His wrath when He judges and rewards the works of every man.
The Lord spoke in the Gospel about the unfaithful servant who went to bury the only talent he received from his lord and master. At the coming of the master, he accused him of being an austere man wanting to reap where he did not sow and therefore hid the talent and refused to engage it. The master poured his wrath on him retrieving the one that he had and giving it to someone who had more. Many who read the story justify the position of the master but are in the current world worse than the unfaithful servant.
Our God is saying to us today that He is coming back shortly to give to every man reward according to how his works shall be. To the workers of righteousness, immortality and eternal life and to the unbelievers who work iniquity, indignation and wrath. He wants us to stick with righteousness and depart from unbelief. For what shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? Hearken from now and the Lord will receive you.
Please pray;
Father, I thank you for your Gospel of light that has been my guide into righteous paths. From this day, let every unrighteousness and unbelief depart from my heart and become stranger to me forever in Jesus’ name. Please let me be part of the people that will inherit eternal life in Jesus’ name. No matter what it will cost, never allow me enter into unrighteousness that would fetch indignation and wrath, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
